He has been an active member of numerous national and regional medical associations, including the American Urological Association, The Florida Urological Society and the American Medical Association. He is a four time winner (1981, 1984, 1987, 1990) of the AMA Physicians Recognition Award. His professional appointments include Chief of Surgery at South Seminole Community Hospital in 1985 and Chief of Surgery at Central Florida Regional Hospital in 1986. Dr. Friedman served
on the Board of Directors of the Florida Physicians Association from
1986-1992. He also served as a delegate for Seminole County to the Florida
Medical Association from 1987-1991. Lastly, he served as President of
the Seminole County Medical Society in 1989 and Chief of Staff of Central
Florida Regional Hospital in 1991. Dr. Friedman is certified by the
American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of
Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). Dr. Friedman also devotes his efforts as a speaker.
Dr. Witten has served on numerous hospital committees including chairmanships of surgical peer review and credentials committees. He has served on the Education Committee for the Seminole County Medical Society. From 2002-2005, he served as Chairman of the Department of Urology at Florida. During his tenure, the hospital procured the DaVinci Robot to perform robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Witten's particular areas of interest include prostate, bladder and renal cancers; urinary incontinence; erectile dysfunction with emphasis on penile implant surgery; male infertility; microscopic surgery including vasectomy reversal; DaVinci robotic radical prostatectomy; laparoscopic urological surgery, and management of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia with minimally invasive techniques including microwave thermotherapy and green light laser Photo-vaporization (PVP) of the prostate. Dr. Witten is an active member of The American Urological Society, The American Association of Clinical Urologist, The American Fertility Society, The Florida Urological Society and The Seminole County Medical Society. He is married with four children and resides in Lake Mary, Florida. Dr. Cangiano has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals such as the Journal of Urology, Urologic Oncology, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. The topics include nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy, prostate cancer and kidney cancer. He has presented much of the work at national and international meetings. Furthermore, he has written chapters in books on topics such as prostate seed implants, kidney masses and urologic surgical techniques and patient management. Dr Cangiano special interests are minimally invasive procedures including In-office Thermotherapy for BPH, Laparoscopy Urologic Surgery and Davinci Robotic Surgery. Dr. Cangiano maintains membership in the American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, Florida Medical Association and the Seminole County Medical Society. He also speaks fluent Spanish and is proud to serve the Latin-American community. Dr. Cangiano is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). Dr. Cangiano has served as the Chairman of Urology at Florida Hospital, President of the Seminole County Medical Society, and Chief of Staff at Central Florida Regional Hospital. Dr. Cangiano is currently the Vice Chief of Staff at Florida Hospital.
